I'll be speaking at the Edgerton Book Festival
on Saturday, September 24th.
Having trouble writing or not sure where to turn to continue your journey? Trying to discover your writing process? Need help with a work in progress? I take on a limited number of students for one-on-one coaching. Affordable, and we'll work out a program that works with your schedule. Includes critique of your pages, writing instruction, and meetings via skype, chatroom or face-to-face (depending on distance). We'll get that book (or stories) finished and ready to go out into the world!
Email me at kathysteffen@charter.net for more information.
After several terrific book club meetings, I now have completed a reading group guide for Jasper Mountain as well as First, There is a River. They come with a spoiler alert, though. If you haven't read the book yet, these guides will give some plot surprises away. So read first, study later :o)

Also, I've done a few book clubs over-the-phone. They have really turned out to be fun. All you need is a speakerphone. Contact me via e-mail and let's see if we can set up a "live" book club discussion. Or, if you are in southwest Wisconsin or around Rockford, Illinois, I can come to your book club meeting. I love to talk to readers and enjoy the myriad of questions and discussions they generate. Happy reading!
