This has been a wonderful month for e-mails and phone calls as First, There is a River makes it to the finalist round in several contests. One of the most exciting e-mails I received was from Adam Mock, announcing First, There is a River as a finalist in the PMA 2008 Benjamin Franklin Awards in the category of Best New Voice (Fiction).

2008 Write-Touch Reader's Award in the Mainstream with Romantic Elements Category.
2008 Best Historical Cover Award in the Cover Café's annual contest.

A double finalist in the 2008 Desert Rose Golden Quill Award, both in the Mainstream with Romantic Elements Category and Best First Book.
